At Home 4 Puppies, we are committed to ensuring that every puppy finds a loving, forever home. We understand that circumstances can change, and we have policies in place to address various situations.
Deposit Policy
Non-Refundable Deposits
All deposits paid to reserve a puppy are non-refundable. This policy is in place because:
- We turn away other potential adopters when you reserve a puppy
- We invest time and resources in preparing your puppy for adoption
- Deposits help ensure serious commitment from adopters
Deposit Transfer
In certain circumstances, we may allow you to transfer your deposit to a different puppy from a current or future litter. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Full Payment Refunds
Before Puppy Delivery
If you have paid in full but have not yet received your puppy, refunds may be available in the following situations:
- Health Issues: If the puppy develops a serious health condition before delivery, you may receive a full refund or choose a different puppy
- Our Cancellation: If we are unable to fulfill the adoption for any reason, you will receive a full refund
After Puppy Delivery
Once you have received your puppy, refunds are generally not available. However, we offer:
- Health Guarantee: Coverage for congenital and hereditary conditions as outlined in your adoption contract
- Return Option: If you can no longer care for the puppy, we will accept the puppy back (no refund, but we ensure the puppy finds a new home)
Health Guarantee Claims
Our health guarantee covers specific congenital and hereditary conditions. To make a claim:
- Contact us immediately upon diagnosis
- Provide veterinary documentation of the condition
- Allow us to review the case with our veterinarian
- Follow the remedy outlined in your adoption contract (replacement puppy, partial refund, or veterinary expense coverage)
Shipping Costs
Shipping and transportation costs are non-refundable unless we are unable to deliver the puppy due to our own circumstances.
Return Process
If you need to return a puppy to us:
- Contact us as soon as possible to discuss the situation
- Provide the puppy's health records and any relevant information
- Arrange transportation (costs typically borne by the adopter)
- Sign a return agreement
Note: Returns do not result in refunds, but we appreciate being given the opportunity to find the puppy a new home.
Exceptions
We evaluate each situation individually and may make exceptions to this policy in extraordinary circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
